I very seldom get to actually use Spanish in a face-to-face situation. Well, I happened to be in line at the checkout at Wal-Mart behind two Hispanic men. They were buying two cases of Budweiser and very little else. The first one didn't understand the checker when she asked for his ID, but they figured it out. I have done the "BBC 6-steps for beginners" and in addition to learning 1 or 2 new phrases each time I speak with my boyfriend, I use lyrics from Maná to learn more.

I have been trying to learn some Spanish for awhile and now am having to learn some Latino. I have
heard there are several dialects also to learn.
I have Mexican students now and have to communicate with them and their parents. Usually
the children can understand but the parents don't.

i just had a spanish test today and im feeling pretty confident that it went well. but i know that the fates are often against me. sometimes ill come out of a test thinking that i rocked it, only to get a D. (mal nota) but sometimes ill think that i sucked and ill get an A.... so who knows? maybe all tha studying paid off.
